چکیده

Aldosterone is a cardiovascular hormone with key role in blood pressure regulation, among other processes, mediated through its targeting of the mineralocorticoid receptor renal tubule and selected tissues. Its secretion from adrenal gland highly controlled process subject to regulatory influence renin–angiotensin system hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis. MicroRNAs are small endogenous non-coding RNA molecules capable regulating gene expression post-transcriptionally stimulation mRNA degradation or suppression translation. Several studies have now identified that microRNA levels changed cases aldosterone dysregulation microRNAs various genes involved production action. In this article we summarise major concerning topic. We also discuss potential for circulating as diagnostic biomarkers primary aldosteronism, treatable form secondary hypertension, which would be desirable given current underdiagnosis condition.
